Since the beginning of this healthcare battle, Americans have been scratching their heads trying to figure out the conundrum that is the new healthcare law...and the answers always seem to be different depending on who you are asking. Recently, an iron-fisted press release came from none other than the esteemed Kathleen Sebelius, Secretary of Health and Human Services, admonishing anyone that dared give what she felt like was "misinformation" about the healthcare law. (You can find her statement at the Department of Health and Human Services Website.)
Prior to the passing of the healthcare bill, the Charlotte Tea Party organized a healthcare town hall forum to help give clear information about what was in the healthcare bill - straight from the text of the bill. Now that the bill has become law, there are even more questions about what Americans will be facing in the very near future.
I'm asking for your help with this blog post: I want to know what your questions are. We would like to work on organizing another healthcare forum in Charlotte, and would like to see what is on the minds of people in relation to the new healthcare law. Please give it some thought, and post your questions in the "comments" section of this blog. I'll be compiling your thoughts and questions as I contact area healthcare professionals to see who we can involve on a panel...and will be posting an update as soon as I find out when we can go live with this!
Stay tuned...and please post your questions!

How does the healthcare bill effect the health coverage on auto/renters insurance? Or will it? My coverage is $500K auto and $100k renters, but given that you will no longer be able to pay cash for anything not provided in govt approved health insurance plans, will you be able to pay after the fact for emergency services? Seems like a dumb question, I know, and in fact may not be answerable.
ReplyDeleteNot a dumb question at all. Those are the kinds of questions that Secretary Sebelius needs to be answering for us. That is definitely going on the top of the list. Thank you!!!
